Finding a wasps nests on your property can not only cause concern about the possibility of being stung but for some people who are allergic to stings it can be life threatening.
Queen wasps emerge from hibernation as the weather starts to warm up to start building the nest. with worker wasps hatching in the summer months.
Wasp nests can be effectively treated by professionals.
Wasps and bees can often be mistaken for each other, wasps have a more distinct yellow and black bands where as bees have a more non descript yellowish / brown colour and have hairy bodies. We recommend contacting the British Bee Keepers Association for advice if you have a bee swarm.
Wasps nests will be treated which will destroy the wasps however the nest will remain and if removal of the nest is required - at least 48hours after treatment - an additional fee will be charged.
